The Red Jacket Clothing gets its brand name from the “Red Jacket” that was acquired during the war of the Revolution in the late 1700s. When a British officer was impressed with a soldier, he entrusted a beautifully ornamented scarlet-colored jacket to the extraordinary individual. During this war, there was also a great Seneca Chief named OT-TI-ANI (which meant “always ready”) who rose to the status of legend during the war. Native American Indians associated the color red with success and winning. To pay homage to the legendary Seneca Chief and the symbolism that the color red represented, the company chose the name Red Jacket, and even use Red Jacket's actual signature as their logo.
