The 47 Brand company that's famous for making mens and womens authentic MLB, NHL, NBA, NCAA and soon to be NFL t-shirts, jerseys, hoodies, hats, sweatshirts, and jackets is actually a combination of two companies: The Banner Supply Company, and a company founded by twin brothers Arthur and Henry D'Angelo, who moved to Boston from Italy at age 12.

Living around Fenway park allowed the D'Angelo brothers to experience the passion of Boston fans, and because of those experience they saw an opportunity... They came up with the idea to create MLB Boston Red Sox felt pennants, which became a huge hit with Red Sox fans. Soon thereafter, the brothers began selling souvenirs to other Major League Baseball teams.

Separately, these two companies did a fantastic job creating licensed sports merchandise for teams across the country. But in 2005 they combined to create Banner 47 brand that creates premium apparel for MLB, NHL, NFL, NBA and NCAA teams sold in sports stadiums, teams stores, and college campuses around the country.
